| This course examines instructional methods for teaching the sciences with the aid of technology. The course methodology will focus on how educational technology such as software applications and the Internet can be used to create meaningful learning experiences for students. Course topics include: examining local, state, and national standards and correlating them with instructional resources; finding and evaluating relevant Web resources for science instruction; effectively using instructional technology to enhance the teaching and learning of key educational objectives; exploring online and interactive science Web sites; developing engaging lesson plans for introduction of scientific concepts; creating student projects that will involve the students in the use of technology; and collaborating with peers to share resources, ideas, and lesson plans. |
